About Marius Morsels
"The birth of The Cookie" by Marius Hickman

I WAS LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY, surrounded by all the buzzing life happening there and feeling very overwhelmed by it all. Maybe on some level I may have felt like giving up.

I had made some cookies maybe a day or so before and that day I just happened to have one of them with me. So I ate it and as I was eating it all the noise around me and the chaos in my head seem to just melt away: it was like it the problems was never there.

Then a thought came to me - if these cookies could be reproduced they might help some one who felt like me. I always loved to bake even when I was a child, because I liked eating cookies.

I would meditate before I baked in order to clear my head: it is important to me to have an environment that is free of chaos. Out of that came the search for the perfect ingredients for this cookie. (I searched tirelessly for these items, right down to the salt.) Rolling the dough by hand is essential. I believe things made by hand come straight from the heart.

The baking process was somewhat challenging - to find the temperature to get that light perfect crispness, golden color and slight softness that I love. These things are important because they give the cookie the dunkability that make me smile. Crumbling over ice cream takes the whole thing to new heights. Packaging in bags of two helps to insure freshness. The clear boxes allow me see what we are sending, and you to see what you are getting - one of Marius Morsels cornerstones.

The packaging demonstrates that our company, Marius Morsels, stands behind its product; and, that we feel it an honor to share our passion with others.
